2013...YEAR OF FAVOUR

Penulis : Unknown on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 | 3:39 PM

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR dearest readers. Welcome to 2013, a glorious year with great FAVOUR and unimaginable things to unfold. Are you ready??? You better be cos there's so much to expect.

First I'll like to apologise for being silent all these while; it's been two and half years since I last visited Nigeria and I don miss Naija too much especially family and friends. So I spent Christmas in Nigeria, ate all the isi ewu (goat head), oha soup, afang soup, kilishi, bush meat, ugba etc. You know that feeling you get when you leave home and come back to see your younger ones all grown up so much that they're now taller than you (not funny). I was impressed, not just grown up in height but in maturity too; I was a fulfilled elder sister cos that means I laid a good example for them. I also got to re-unite with college friends who I haven't seen for almost 5 years. The whole experience was fun!!! The pictures below say it all.
Yours truly...simple but stunning

BABA GOD NONI...

Penulis : Unknown on Thursday, June 28, 2012 | 4:43 PM

My humble self (Baba God pikin)

On my own, I am not the best neither am I the most experienced; but He believed in me enough to choose me. If He(God) did, therefore, I believe I’m the best cos He said so.

8 May 2012…
I walked into the building that Tuesday morning, looking all radiant and corporate in Grey blazers, white shirt and black skirt (feeling cool with myself), there was someone at the reception to receive the new intakes and directed us to the meeting rooms where the induction will take place. I adjusted myself and settled into a seat just beside the door; 9am, 9.30, 9.45am…finally there was someone here to speak to us. A lot was said on the first day, the job function, code of conduct, dress code, the normal induction drill when you start a new job. The next thing was training and then getting into the job proper; as usual you’re expected to perform and show those skills you quoted in your CV (lol). It’s the same feeling when you graduate from the university and peeps tell you, “welcome to the real world”. Because after everything is put down on paper, the time will come to practicalise it and find out if it’s actually the same. But believe me, it is not always the same cos during training you are not exposed to the main functions as to when you’re doing the job directly.

I’m sure you’re wondering where I’m headed, don’t worry I’ll get there soon.

So the D-day finally came. Lynda O-me-r-ek-pi (oyibo man murdered my surname)…I sha stood up, and he said “you’re on the fourth floor; follow me”. I was led to my desk, had to set up my system and phone extensions. Anyway to cut the long story short…It was time to face the real world. Now I had weekly targets to meet (not marketing) and the thought of it alone was scary and I didn’t know how to go about it. But one thing I knew was that God allowed me to get to this place and will definitely not leave me alone now. In my mind I just said “Lord, we’re in this together”; after that thought, I felt encouraged and ready to face the challenge. It was like an adrenaline rush, all my fears were gone and I just wanted to get into the game.  From that day till date, God has done so many things that I do not know how to thank Him, words alone are not enough and I just wanted to share my excitement with you all. It’s been a smooth ride, surpassing every hurdle and challenge, everything working in my favour even when there were office obstacles standing in the way. Above all I have always surpassed my targets by 50%. One of my colleagues yesterday made a comment; he said I was making those who’ve been there before me feel like they are not working cos I just came in and picked up with speed, aiming for the same kinda targets with them. And I smiled and said, “it’s by the grace of God”. And sometimes it’s very funny when some people look at me in amazement and say things like “I’m surprised” or “Wow… I didn’t think you could do that”. I just laugh cos they don’t understand, and guess why? Cos it’s not by my ability, but the GOD in me. He chose me, predestined me, justified me and enabled me. All I can say is Baba God NONI, ESE, IMEELA.

So at work, in school, wherever you may be, let God be your guide, your backbone, your partner. You’ll do exploits. He wants to be a vital part of your everyday life, even little things as picking out clothes to wear or hair-styles to make (yeah,…very very true cos I’m a witness). Many times I go to bed not knowing what to wear to work the next day and in the morning I stand in front of my wardrobe and ask Him to help me pick out something. It’s really funny but it works cos just on Tuesday I asked for what to wear and He showed me what to wear for both Tuesday & Wednesday. The shirt for Wednesday had been there for almost 3months and I never figured out what to wear it with but just in a second, God sorted that issue. Not like the days I try every dress in my wardrobe before finding something, NO...I just knew what to wear. Guy/babes…you should give it a try. That’s God for you, He always does exceedingly abundantly more than you can ask. Always ready to blow your mind and take you by surprise.

So when next people wonder at the kinda things you do or how you do these things; just tell them…It’s the God in me.

These songs by Mary-Mary have been a wonderful inspiration; pay attention to the lyrics and get the kinda vibes I’ve been feeling.

So if you see me looking so fresh, looking so fly, looking so cool..what you don't know its that it is the God in me. :o)

Thank you Lord for all You’ve done. Baba God Noni.

APRIL SHOWERS...HAPPY NEW MONTH

Penulis : Unknown on Saturday, March 31, 2012 | 5:43 PM

Saturday, March 31, 2012

Hi dearies, welcome to the month of APRIL. There's something remarkable about this month, it is starting on the first day of the week (Sunday) and this is very special. There's going to be showers of blessings, unprecedented favour, abundance of grace, open doors, and many more.

Joke of  The Day

An atheist decided to file a petition on the grounds that Christians have so many holidays and celebrations like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday but no day is set aside for the atheist to celebrate. On the day of judgement, the judge asked the atheist to plead his case and when he was through, the judge dismissed the case. The atheist was furious and demanded for justification; the judge told him that  there is actually a day set out for atheists and if he was aware of that,  he wouldn't have made a case in the first place. The judge turned to Proverbs 1:7 which says "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; but fools despise wisdom and instruction". The judge told him that since he doesn't fear the Lord that means he is a fool and the official day set out for fools is April 1st (hahahahaaa), so the case was officially closed. The atheist left without further argument.

HAPPY NEW MONTH

HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY

HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY by PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME
Different circumstances in life require different approaches and you have to get the desired outcome through your prayers. Many times in life we seek for changes to various situations that may be bothering us at home, in our jobs, businesses and personal life and you can only solve a problem if you know how to tackle it. I can honestly tell you that the best way to handle such issues is through PRAYERS.

But sometimes, we find out that we have prayed concerning a particular issue and it still appears to be unresolved. The question is WHY? Is it that God is not listening to me? Or is there a prayer queue in heaven and mine happens to be one of those at the end of the queue? Or is it that it is not God's will for me to have this thing I am praying for? We all get such questions running through our mind. But guess what? The answers to all these questions is here....HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY. Many times we do not know how to pray and end up waiting for  a particular thing for ages and sometimes without a change. This book will blow your mind and indeed make you somersault. From the day I got mine I have been soooo addicted and I'm loving this addiction.

The secret to making a change is not knowing what to do, but knowing HOW to do it. Now I know what to pray about and HOW to pray about it. It will be very selfish for me to find out such an amazing secret and keep it to myself. I love you dear LVB readers and I need you to experience the kinda divine ecstacy I enjoy during moments of prayer. Lemme give you a sneak-peak into the highlights of this book...

"Every moment of prayer is an investment in eternity and true prayer is a romance of righteousness"

"Prayer helps to season our spirit as a dependable receptacle for God's spirit and power; then we can connect to His visions, ideas and leadings more easily in order to change the world.

As you read this book, you can expect your prayer life to be revolutionalized as you open your heart to receive and practice the divine insights that will be unveiled to you. You will find the information you need to purchase your copy when you play the video below. You can also get other books on success, healing, spiritual growth, faith, etc. by same author HERE

Have a lovely week ahead.

A WOMAN'S WORTH

Penulis : Unknown on Friday, March 2, 2012 | 2:21 AM

Friday, March 2, 2012

It all started on a Sunday morning by 8.07am, a cry was heard on the hall-way of Sancta Maria Hospital and everyone in the waiting room leapt with joy. It was the 15th of February 198(?), a baby girl was given as a blessing to a certain family somewhere in the eastern part of Nigeria. A bundle of joy as many will call it, but that day marked the beginning of my journey on earth as a WOMAN. Days turned to weeks, months, and years but as I grew older, I began to understand the precepts of being a woman. Mum will always tutor me on how to sit, stand, walk, talk – the total composure of a woman and during my teen years I’ll never forget something she said to me “Don’t let a boy touch you cos if it he does, you’ll become pregnant” (lol). I starred at her with my eyes and mouth wide open, engulfed with the fear of the unknown. But in my early 20s, I realised that mum said those words to keep me focused and to be careful with guys. At 21, I had the opportunity to live on my own (freedom of NYSC); away from mum and dad – it was time to experience the world for myself. Who I chose to be from that day will determine my future as a woman.

With time, I got to realise that there is so much expectation from you as a woman; in the family, at work and the society at large. But the most important is to live up to that which God has made you to be – your true value, far above rubies. After so much thought, I narrowed it down to one question, WHO AM I? Who you are as a woman defines your total personality and serves as a platform on which you stride through life. But it’s so unfortunate that many women do not know who they are. Leaving my family at such a young age was a big step, NYSC took me to Abuja where the highs and tides of life was in its full splendour; more like “living la vida loca”. I could have easily been swayed and bamboozled by the flashy lights, Porsche cars, high life, sumptuous offers that came with being a marketer in a bank etc. Why am I telling you this? As a lady, you should not allow your environment to influence you, instead carry your own atmosphere everywhere you go. Light up your world with the glow that shines from within; don’t be tossed around by superficial gestures, you should be able to discern the things that will add value to your life and things that would not. In spite of all I experienced during my stay, I never forgot who I was, I knew I had a worth that could only be treasured by one who knows my real value. What I saw on the streets of Abuja which has now become the norm for some ladies makes me ask another question – What value have you placed on yourself as a woman?

As much as we need that special care and attention, you don’t have to reduce yourself so low to get it. I once heard a man say that if only women knew their worth, 95% of the sin in the world will be averted and to some extent I think this is true. Ladies, you need to understand that you are a blessing to your world, you were made for glory, to be a source of comfort, a help-meet, a woman of valour, to be adored and cherished. When you forget this, you find yourself running after people and in turn becoming a shadow of yourself. You need to recognise the quality you were made of, there’s so much greatness deposited inside of you. Don’t let it waste, let the beauty inside radiate on the outside, live from the inside-out; let the true value show and only then will you value yourself.  Don’t throw yourself on a guy because he has promised you diamonds and pearls, don’t stalk him because he is rich and you think you can acquire goodies from him, NO – you can achieve so much with what you have inside and he’ll come running after you. Dress properly, be smart, think big, speak with courtesy, act with dignity, talk less, listen more, don’t lose your smile (it does some magic) and above all learn to walk with God. With Him you’ll discover your true identity and learn to value yourself cos you’re worth more than you think.

A WOMAN’S WORTH
(by Kimberly Renee' Rawls)
(Athens, AL, USA)

A woman’s worth is determined by
how much she values herself.
If her thoughts of herself are dwindling,
then the same will be true of her wealth.
I recognize that I am a treasure
bearing rubies, diamonds, and gold.
My treasure has not been found yet,
and its whereabouts will remain untold.
One day someone shall find me and
a fortunate man he will be.
He will open the lock and finally release
all the beauty of his woman to be.
With confidence I will shine like the diamonds
                                                 that once were hidden inside.
My wealth will be more than rubies,
for no price can be put on my life.
Like gold I’ll be tried in the fire,
and I’ll come out as pure as can be.
And that day shall be reminiscent
as the era in my life,
when a treasure was found in me.

WELCOME TO FEBRUARY...Month of LOVE

Penulis : Unknown on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 | 2:04 AM

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Hi Dearies...

WELCOME TO FEBRUARY, a month of Love and also happens to be my baiday birth month. Well, what can i say about February? First I want to thank God for His infinite mercies and unconditional love towards us that inspite of all my wrong-doings. He still loves me. Sometimes I wonder -Who am I that God will even care so much about me? Who am I that he feels my hurt? But then I realised something?  I am the apple of His eyes, the effulgence of His glory, His most-priced possession, His best, His daughter, a CHOSEN one, a ROYAL Priesthood. With this consciousness, I understood that there's no greater LOVE than this, that irrespective of all I've done, He chooses to still love me and this is the message I want to pass across today...LOVE even when it's inconvenient.

You will never truly know how to love someone until you understand the love of God, if not you will only be running around in circles trying to please people and trying to change people to please you. Love beyond the physical, love with all your heart, love, love, love and keep loving. Love is a verb not a noun; it is expressed in giving....(what are you thinking?) Well... YES, you give of your time, energy, resources, etc. When you love, there's a natural force that compels you to want to do something for the person. E.g. "for God so loved the world THAT He gave His only son"... This means because He loved us, He was compelled to give. So this month give something to someone, it doesn't have to be a present or money or material things. Sometimes giving someone your attention is all they require to be happy, giving a smile may be the light that will brighten someone's day, a word of advice may help a friend make the right decisions, all you need to do is just say I'LL BE THERE.  So this month and always...decide to show love cos without love there's no life.

Also, give thanks to God for bringing you into a new month. I love this song (a bit old but the words are very refreshing, just can't thank God enough)and i hope you like it too. The title of the song is THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME.

A puzzle for my beloved readers, which of these dates is my birthday???? Don't check on facebook oo, i'll know. There'll be a prize but i will only reveal it on my birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVERYONE BORN IN FEBRUARY....Love ya.

You Haven't Seen Anything Yet...Expect more surprises from God.

Penulis : Unknown on Monday, January 30, 2012 | 3:24 AM

Monday, January 30, 2012

Hi LVB readers, here's the word for today, Mon, Jan 30, 2012

You Haven't Seen Anything Yet!

" Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 Corinthians 2:9, NKJV).

Today’s verse is really an encouragement for all of us to raise our expectations! God is saying to us, “You think you’re blessed? You haven’t seen anything yet!” And I’m sure God's been good to you, but He also has things for ur future that, if He told you right now, would boggle ur mind. You wouldn’t even believe it.

A preacher once said, "If you would have told me twelve years ago while I was working behind d scenes at my parent’s church that one day I'ld be a minister in front of many people and have our services in the former Compaq Center where I used to watch the Rockets play basketball, I would've said, “You’ve totally lost your mind!” At the time, I couldn't even fathom that! "Friend, that is how God wants to bless you in your future. He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness , with things so wonderful you can’t even fathom it!

Today, get ready for increase. Get prepared for promotion. This year is the year to step into blessings you can’t even imagine. Keep believing, keep obeying His Word and keep your heart and mind open to what He has for you because you haven’t seen anything yet!

Prayer for Today:
Father God, today I raise my level of expectations. I choose to take the limits off of my thinking. I know that You're able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all I could ever ask, think or imagine. Thank You for the blessing You've in store for me in 2012! In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Wow!!! This is awesome, are U̶̲̥̅̊ ready? Are U̶̲̥̅̊ expectant? Dunno about U̶̲̥̅̊ but i can feel it. Tell yourself "i'm destined for greatness, this is my year". It doesn't matter wat U̶̲̥̅̊ see now, just BELIEVE it & watch His surprises as they gradually unfold in your life. Have a blessed week, and remember there's no limit to what U̶̲̥̅̊ can achieve.
