DESIGN COMPETITION // FRONT ROW SOCIETY - ROSCHARCH

Penulis : Unknown on Monday, December 2, 2013 | 5:12 AM

Monday, December 2, 2013

Editorial via Front Row Society

CREATIVE BRIEF

Submission Deadline: 15 December, 2013, 6pm CET
Voting Starts: 16 December, 2013, 6pm CET

The Rorschach test has been famously used for decades by psychologists to unlock their patients’ innermost thoughts and desires. These abstract ink blots can be interpreted in a variety of ways, depending on the conscious and unconscious thought processes of the viewer. So this month, we’re asking you to get in touch with your inner psyche and create your very own Rorschach-inspired print.

Will your subconscious reveal a watercolor landscape full of symbolism, or will your mindscape take the form of an abstract symmetrical print? Will you be drawn to the classic inky monochrome shapes of the Rorschach tests, or does your inner self thrive on color? The choice is yours!

This competition is for scarves. As always, don't forget that your print might need to be adjusted to fit the appropriate template. All templates are marked with design specifications to help you get your design just right. Please note that all FRS templates may differ slightly from final manufacturing specifications, so make sure your print is versatile and flexible enough for production.

What can you win?

Each winner receives a one-off immediate prize of 200€. plus one of their products when it arrives in stock. But that is not all - each & every time we sell 500 pieces of your design, you will receive an additional €200. This means that FRS can continue to embody the spirit of fashion democracy, rewarding our top designs again...and again...and again! We will also conduct an interview with the winner, publicizing their design across the fashion community in Berlin and worldwide.

DESIGN COMPETITION // FRONT ROW SOCIETY . COLD TRAVELER

Editorial via Front Row Society

CREATIVE BRIEF

Submission Deadline: 30 November, 2013, 6pm CET
Voting Starts: 01 December, 2013, 6pm CET

Here in Berlin, winter is drawing in, and our thoughts are turning to even chillier places for this month's scarves challenge: Cold Traveler.

Think teams of husky dogs ploughing through fresh snow; the bright colors of prayer flags strung along a Nepalese mountain; the mysteries of life in the Arctic. The frosty geometry of a snowflake, or the night-long fire in a far northern tribal village. Use your imagination and explore the extremes of human endurance and the mysteries of the cold and lonely journeys we take.

Use our color palette as inspiration for your mixed patterns, and layers of impression. And remember - wrap up warm... Are you ready to face the cold?

This competition is for scarves. As always, don't forget that your print might need to be adjusted to fit the appropriate template. All templates are marked with design specifications to help you get your design just right. Please note that all FRS templates may differ slightly from final manufacturing specifications, so make sure your print is versatile and flexible enough for production.

DESIGN COMPETITION // FRONT ROW SOCIETY . GRAPHIC LACE

Editorial via Front Row Society

CREATIVE BRIEF

Submission Deadline: 15 November, 2013, 6pm CET
Voting Starts: 16 November, 2013, 6pm CET

After our “Cabinet of Curiosities” challenge, we weren’t quite ready to close the door on our historical artifacts, and brought a scrap of fabric back with us: lace. Obscuring yet revealing, this diaphanous material has been a staple of women’s wardrobes for centuries – so it’s time for an FRS update, wouldn’t you agree?

No, we’re not asking you to get out the needlework (although by all means do if the mood takes you!) but for this month’s leggings challenge, we want you to design your very own lace pattern! Geometric, illustrative, abstract – the style is up to you; we’ll just be looking for the most intricate and elaborate of gossamer-fine prints. Sharpen up those pencils & get designing!

This competition is for leggings. As always, don't forget that your print might need to be adjusted to fit the appropriate template. All templates are marked with design specifications to help you get your design just right. Please note that all FRS templates may differ slightly from final manufacturing specifications, so make sure your print is versatile and flexible enough for production.
