Our feature this week is Fashion Designer Marina Araujo Alvarez who is based in Barcelona,Spain. She studied Fashion Design at  ESDI (2000-2004) and after graduating, she started her career At Look and Design Society Fashion & Sport Design Studio for the past 6 years and has worked for brands like the National Geographic.  Since 2009, she has worked for Ellesse Italia At Dicaltex International where her work follows all the development process designing men's and women's apparel collection. 

Her skill sets include Trend Research (International Shows, Shoppings, Books...), Colour, Design CAD's, Technical Specs, Prototype And Samples Until Production.

Her passion, includes modern design and keeping an eye on the latest trends for colors, fabrics, samples and graphics.

MORE FROM ABERDEEN

Hi peeps, guess y'all been  having a fruitful week. The month of February ends today and I hope we were all able to accomplish our goals and target for the month. I can't say I got all I wanted but I'm grateful to God for everything, He's been so so so faithful and loving so I look forward to the next month with greater expectations. I'm back to London and I promised more pictures from Aberdeen, so I'm just gonna post them, some of them are crazy but I guess that's the whole aim of having fun. Sometimes you go out of the norm and just do funny things.

ALL WORK AND NO PLAY

One look from my window and i knew i needed a break. The view from my 16th floor apartment was a lovely sight; at night it feels like i could touch the stars. The street lights create a beautiful design and the red brake lights from the cars all add up to make my view a sweet moment. But all of this was not just enough, I was just tired jare. London is too busy, so many people, ups and downs, hustling and bustling, minding the gaps, chasing trains and trying not to miss your bus. I just needed some time off and guess what??? ABERDEEN(Scotland)...Yayyyy, finally I had somewhere to go, my friend's birthday was coming up (That's why I haven't actually posted anything for a while). Mehnn, I thought London was cold but Aberdeen is freezing, thank God i prepared very well for it. I tried to go to as many places as I could, not much though but just a few to get pictures. Its good to take a break sometimes, go away for a while and ease off all the stress cos all work and no play makes Lynda a.....(fill in the gap) loll. I made new friends, I feel better & light-headed now, due to go back to London tomorrow, will post more pictures when I get to London (after dealing with jet lag) cos I'm currently blogging from Aberdeen. This single publication has 145 pages of Comprehensive textile and fashion trend information.  Featured are womenswear reports, street fashion, designer shows, styling and color trends as well as fabric and print ideas, trade fair reports. I'm so thrilled to feature Hannah Marie Muers,  a young and upcoming textile and surface designer and trend forecaster.  She is currently finishing up her studies at the Cleveland college of Art & Design. Her experiences includes placements in the trends department at Hallmark, Mudpie Ltd mdpclick.com, and currently with Trend Bible.


She has a passion for vintage fashion and loves to shop and visit vintage fairs and charity shops.  She is also inspired by vintage floral fashion prints and patterns which shows in her lovely work.
