INTERNATIONAL CANADIAN FASHION SHOWCASE Posted: 01 May 2013 06:23 AM PDT Editorial via Talenthouse The International Canadian Fashion Showcase (ICFS) is launching a Creative Invite to find a designer to join The 2013 International Canadian Fashion Showcase on Sunday June 30th in Toronto. With the support of adidas eyewear, ICFS producers are looking for another fashion designer to showcase their collection. The designer will be required to showcase at least 12 pieces at the upcoming show in Toronto, Canada. This event is specifically designed to give both emerging and established designers a significant level of exposure. A wealth of designers from Canada, the Americas, the Caribbean, the UK and more will join this platform and the selected designer will be able to promote their collection in the presence of fashion industry decision makers, attending fashion press, buyers as well as consumers. How to participate.. Designers are required to submit example work from an original designed collection International Canadian Fashion Showcase's Choice The Winner & or winners as chosen by the members of the ICFS board will have a chance to showcase @ the 2013 International Canadian Fashion Showcase Sun June 30th in Toronto Canada. A FASHION LOVE AFFAIR

THE WAY WE ARE Posted: 01 May 2013 08:12 AM PDT I wore this outfit last Friday but wanted to wait and post it this week because the shirt I am wearing is to help promote the new site of The Way We Are.  It just launched today! You've probably seen me wearing a few of her bracelets on my blog & instagram.  I definitely love everything in her shop so make sure to check it out! You won't be disappointed.  Shirt: C/O TheWayWeAre/ Boyfriend Jeans: H&M (shop similar) (also love)  Shoes: Prabal Gurung For Target (shop here)/  Bag: H&M/ Necklace: C/O LolaBlueTheCloset/ Sunnies: Target  One of the easiest and most comfortable pieces I own are these boyfriend jeans.  I love dressing them up with heels or making them more casual with a graphic tee.  I honestly prefer these over my skinny jeans.  This denim is super soft which I feel makes them more wearable.  Who wants to wear stiff denim all day? Not me! lol This outfit has a real casual vibe but to dress it up a bit I added my black Prabal shoes and new favorite statement necklace.  Pieces like this one are such a great addition to any outfit because it really makes them POP.  One of things that I love most about this one is how it sparkles.  It shines bright like a diamond, as Rihanna would say! Speaking of diamonds, I have a milestone birthday coming up in 6 months (can't even believe it) and I've really been thinking about buying myself a diamond ring from My Jewelry Box, preferably a black or colored one.  It's something that I have always wanted and of course it would be great to receive one as a gift, but I think there's something so rewarding about being able to treat yourself to something you really want.  I just think it symbolizes something so much more.  Do any of you feel that way too? I'm headed into NY tomorrow afternoon and then I have a super early flight Friday morning.  I am not sure if I can get another outfit post in before I go, but I will at least try and post something else.
