JUST BELIEVE...

Penulis : Unknown on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 | 3:43 PM

If you're one of those who always use this sentence - "I don't believe things till I see them", then this article is for you. To help you understand it better, I'm going to ask you some questions.

Q. 1 - How many times have you gone to an airline to request for the certificate of qualification for the pilot before you boarded the plane? Pls tell me, how many times? I guess you walked majestically up that staircase and smiled when the cabin crew welcomed you aboard. Then you fastened your seat belt, pulled your chair backwards and immediately the plane leapt into the air, your eyes closed. The next time you open your eyes will be the landing announcements saying you have arrived your final destination. This means that you trusted the pilot (who you did not even see) to take you from Point A to Point B, right? What if he/she was a learner? loll

Q. 2 - Have you ever had a surgery? If you haven't, you may have a friend/family member who has had one. OK, I'll use myself as an example. I had appendicitis operation in 2004 and all I know is that I was told a man with glasses wearing a white lab. coat was a doctor and was going to perform the surgery. I walked into the theatre, saw a very bright light and lots of surgical instruments which were all supposed to be used on my body. I just laid on the bed and surrendered myself whole-heartedly trusting the doctor and believing that whatever he's going to do will be a success. So how many of us have asked for the doctor's certificate before we went for surgery or medical check-ups? How do you even know the guy/lady is a doctor? Or does it mean anyone wearing a white coat is a doctor? NO...you trust that the man/woman you see in the hospital is the doctor and will handle any issues relating to your health.

Q. 3 - This question is very funny but true. When were you born? Let's say 11/07/1980. How did you know you were born on that day? Were you there? Did you see your birth? So how do you know that date is your birthday? I'm sure your answer is -  my parents told me and I also have a birth certificate; I'm pretty sure this date will forever stick in your medula oblongata (brain) and not even the midwife who cut your umbilical cord can change your mind or tell you otherwise. So do you believe the words from your parents and some ink on paper more than the words that proceed from God? Can you hold on to The Word this way even in d midst of challenges?

Having read these questions, I'm sure you already know where I'm heading to. Today in the office, one of my colleagues said he will never believe in miracles till he sees it for himself. Why do we find it very difficult to believe/trust the word of God. We find it hard to believe that what He says is what will happen in our lives because we have clouded our minds with every possible negative outcome of whatever situation we're facing. The most common cliché is to imagine the worst case scenario; why should you be facing challenges and thinking of the worst instead of thinking of the best scenario? After praying that God should help you with that matter, you counter your prayers by allowing negative thoughts ruin your answered prayers.

Mark 11:24 - Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire; when ye pray, BELIEVE that ye receive them and ye shall have them.

So what have you prayed for? A dream you want to see come true, a job, finances, marriage, child, family issues, etc. Do you believe that you have received your answer? You cannot have it if you don't believe. If you read that verse clearly, it says believe and then...you shall have. This is because your believing activates the answer to your prayer. As easy as it is to believe and trust the pilot and doctor; that is the same way you should believe the power in the word of God. It is more efficient and dependable; above all, it acts with speed ASAP. Don't wait till you see the answer first; all you need to do is JUST BELIEVE and your answer will be right there at your doorstep.

Believe in God
Believe in yourself
Believe in your dreams

BELIEVE THAT HE WHO HAS PROMISED, IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO BRING HIS WORDS TO PASS IN YOUR LIFE... It's time to sit back, relax and watch Him work in your life.

Hope this inspired you.

KEEP AT IT....don't stop now

It was early in the morning and in my usual manner, I opened the message and broadcasted to all my contacts. This had become a daily routine and a necessary one before setting off for the day. I made sure I sent the broadcast even though some of my contacts were getting tired of the frequent ping sounds waking them up early in the morning. On the other hand, some will call my phone countless times screaming “where’s the word for today?” or ping me 10 times requesting for the daily dose of morning devotion if mistakenly send it late. Once someone asked if I overslept (lol)…It felt good to know that there were also people who the message affected positively. While using BB, I felt I could affect my world if I can connect to people all over the world and that was why I decided to start the morning broadcasts.

Somehow, after almost 3years of practising a habit which; I had to give up my blackberry smart phone L. It was a tough decision but a necessary one to make.  I decided to let go of the BB and that would mean ending my daily messages. I thought for a while and knew that there could be a remedy somehow; “whatsapp” became the new bbm to me and I tried to get as many people as possible to add me to their phone. It felt good to know that I could still reach out to people from my little corner. So this very morning, about an hour after I sent the messages I received the chat below.

I was so grateful to God that I didn’t give up on my daily routine. I was glad I didn’t let it go with my BB, there was this joy inside that I couldn’t explain. Many of us have not come to that point in life when you don’t feel like living anymore, but whoever that lady was I knew what she was talking about and only the word of consolation from God can have such power to give one hope to live again.

What am I trying to say? Lives are affected by the little things we do and most times we never know. Whatever it is that you do to impact lives, KEEP AT IT, don’t stop now. It doesn’t matter that people don’t notice the good deeds you have done; maybe you haven’t received the kind of approval or commendation that you desire from people…don’t stop doing it. Don’t stop helping people, don’t stop doing good; go the extra mile to help someone, live everyday with the thought of putting a smile on someone’s face. You never know what life you may preserve tomorrow. You are God’s outstretched arm to your world and He sees and knows what you do; you should seek His approval and only Him can give you the kind of reward you desire.

DON’T GROW WEARY IN WELL DOING…IN DUE SEASONYOU WILL GET YOUR REWARD

HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY by PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME
Different circumstances in life require different approaches and you have to get the desired outcome through your prayers. Many times in life we seek for changes to various situations that may be bothering us at home, in our jobs, businesses and personal life and you can only solve a problem if you know how to tackle it. I can honestly tell you that the best way to handle such issues is through PRAYERS.

But sometimes, we find out that we have prayed concerning a particular issue and it still appears to be unresolved. The question is WHY? Is it that God is not listening to me? Or is there a prayer queue in heaven and mine happens to be one of those at the end of the queue? Or is it that it is not God's will for me to have this thing I am praying for? We all get such questions running through our mind. But guess what? The answers to all these questions is here....HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY. Many times we do not know how to pray and end up waiting for  a particular thing for ages and sometimes without a change. This book will blow your mind and indeed make you somersault. From the day I got mine I have been soooo addicted and I'm loving this addiction.

The secret to making a change is not knowing what to do, but knowing HOW to do it. Now I know what to pray about and HOW to pray about it. It will be very selfish for me to find out such an amazing secret and keep it to myself. I love you dear LVB readers and I need you to experience the kinda divine ecstacy I enjoy during moments of prayer. Lemme give you a sneak-peak into the highlights of this book...

"Every moment of prayer is an investment in eternity and true prayer is a romance of righteousness"

"Prayer helps to season our spirit as a dependable receptacle for God's spirit and power; then we can connect to His visions, ideas and leadings more easily in order to change the world.

As you read this book, you can expect your prayer life to be revolutionalized as you open your heart to receive and practice the divine insights that will be unveiled to you. You will find the information you need to purchase your copy when you play the video below. You can also get other books on success, healing, spiritual growth, faith, etc. by same author HERE

Have a lovely week ahead.

GET UP!!!!!!!!!!

Penulis : Unknown on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 | 2:44 AM

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Just like a log of wood, he lay still on his bed; not moving his body or even blinking an eye, it seemed as though the earth stood still under his roof. The phone rang, but NO-he wouldn’t pick up; the mail came in, but he didn’t bother to check what was inside. Except for the TV which played all through the night till the next day, his apartment was quiet like a graveyard. The voice of the newscasters from BBC echoed in his head as they read out the headlines over again. Hearing those words again were like torture to him as he reminisced on the times spent in Canary Wharf, blazing through Canada-Square for lunch at 2pm and the beautiful view of the fountain from the 22nd floor of his office. It was a bitter moment, he didn’t see it coming; he didn’t believe he was made redundant. There were bills to pay, the mortgage, electricity, gas, internet, water bills, car insurance, council tax, telephone bills, etc and the worst of all was that he just took an overdraft from his bank. Life seemed to have paused for Jide.

Does this sound like what you’re going through? Do you feel like your life has paused and you are locked up in a shell? Do you feel like you’re standing at the edge of a cliff? I have good news for you; you may not have seen it coming but God did and He has made an escape way for you. So don’t just lie/sit down there doing nothing, it’s time to get up. You won’t be able to look ahead if you’re sitting and pondering over the situation. People may have talked about the difficulty in the economy, the increase in tax and the speed with which the price of every commodity has increased. All of that doesn’t matter cos the economy doesn’t define your present situation. What people say does not count, what counts is what you say cos what you say is what you get. You’ve got to make a change and if you don’t make a move…nothing will change. Believe that there’s something better ahead of you and trust God completely cos when He takes you to a cliff, He either gives you wings to fly or He’ll make a safe landing for you. But first, you have to GET UP.

LYRICS

Verse 1.
Layin' low, rest and pause,
Sleeping long, slow motion
Gonna do, shoulda, coulda
Woulda done, excuses

What are you afraid of?
Don't you know what you're made of?
One of God's greatest creations
Take this invitation now

Chorus
Get up, 'cause you can't stop
Get up, got a lot to do
24 hours, almost gone

Get up, don't sit back
Get up, if you wanna get there
Clocks don't stop and time won't wait

Verse 2
He said, she said, they said, what do you say?
It's your dreams, your choice, our time, your life
So don't you, don't you miss it

What are you afraid of?
Don't you know what you're made of?
One of God's greatest creations
Take this invitation now

CHORUS

Bridge
Welcome to the rest of your life
From now on, just try
To live more, want more, work a little harder
Dance more, laugh more, be a little smarter
Hug a little longer, love a little stronger
You've been down but now it's time to

LETTING GO

Penulis : Unknown on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 | 2:48 AM

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

We all go through disappointments, setbacks and things that we don’t understand. Maybe you prayed for a loved one, but they didn’t get well. Or maybe you worked hard for a promotion, but you didn’t get it. You stood in faith for a relationship, but it didn’t work out. One of the best things you can do is release it. Let it go. Don’t dwell on it anymore. If you go around wondering why things didn’t work out, all that’s going to do is lead to bitterness, resentment and self-pity. Before long, you’ll be blaming others, blaming yourself, or even God. You may not have understood what happened. It may not have been fair. But when you release it, it’s an act of your faith. You’re saying, “God, I trust You. I know You’re in control. And even though it didn’t work out my way, You said, ‘All things are going to work together for my good.’ So I believe You still have something good in my future.”

There is power in letting go of the past and the frustration of trying to figure everything out. When you release your questions, you are saying, “God, You are in control. I trust You.” And when you put your hope in God, that's when He can heal your heart and lead you forward into His path of blessing.

I know it may not be easy to let go but think of what God has for your future. If you keep looking back, you'll never be able to move forward. Let go and Let GOD.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I come to you in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Help me to forgive and release the past. Heal my heart and restore my soul. Show me the good plan You have for my future as I keep my mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I hope this song "No Looking Back" by Damita Haddon inspires you. Have a beautiful day.
